Ais Bandung? What is it? Ais Bandung is made of rose syrup mixed with full cream milk. The combination is sweet, fragrant and absolutely delicious.
In Penang, we used to call Ais Bandung as 牛奶冰 Gu Leng Peng (hokkien), and this drink can be found anywhere, either at mamak stalls or chinese coffee shops. Most of the coffee stalls will serve the drink of rose syrup mixed with full cream milk, but I found that one coffee shop will serve one cup of ices with rose syrup and one bottle of fresh milk. The New Kit Siang coffee shop can be located beside Union Primary School, or just beside Green House coffee shop at Burmah Road.

我老公很喜欢这Bandung……每次他喝，我也尝试唱一两口，但是到现在还是没有恋上它……：）有一种不太能接受的味道，加上它的颜色，有点恐怖。感觉分红是摆美、装饰的颜色，变成食物就有点……呃……geli。

I am always fascinated by the different kind of drinks served in Malaysia coffee shops! Just like when I am in Ipoh, my niece like to order ice-cream float with sprite (something not common in SG), and ice honey lemonade (also not common in SG), and sour plum + some sour fruit juice (calamasi? in cantonese is "Gah zai shun mui" something like that, also not common in SG)

这是penang 才有的。我们以前住penang的时候就有喝过。 不知道是不是每家咖啡店都有的呢？
