Wesak Day Parade

Today is 19th May 2008, and it is the Wesak Day for everyone around the world.

I just came back from Wesak Day Parade not long ago, as promised, I'm going to show you all about the parade which carried out just now. There are some Procession Floats 花车 along the parade and I managed to take photos on most of them.

I got lots of photos to show you, so I will let the photos to do most of the talks.

This is the traditional Main Procession Float from Malaysia Buddhist Association 马来西亚佛教总会, and it is the last vehicle for the parade.

The first Procession Float of the parade, which is from Penang Buddhist Studies Association 槟城佛学院. Every year they will take the lead of the parade.

The photos of other Procession Floats, and most of them I forgot to note down the name of the associations, sorry ya.

I like this Procession Float which is from Three Wisdom Association 三慧讲堂. They decorated the float in so creative way and they used recycled items to do that also.

It is 6.30pm, and the parade is going to start soon! Everyone please be prepared!

Well, this is our team for the parade, which consisted of fellow members and children from Sunday Class. Oh ya, we are from Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils' Association 槟城佛教义学校友会.

Let's shout the slogan for our association, 为了慈善 (For charity), 为了教育 (For education), 请支持佛义 (Please support Fo Yi).

There are a lots of people just beside the road.

Can you all spot me in the crowd? I suppose you can!

Hooo, tired man~ Take some rest first before continue on the parade. We finished the parade around at 10.00pm.

Is she pretty? Can you all see the flower on her hair?

Beware, a copycat is just around the corner!
