Famous Laksa in Penang

It's lunch time!!!

Today I'm going to introduce to you all the famous Laksa in Penang. This post is dedicated to Beverly, on her request for the famous Laksa here.

The Laksa stall is located at Taman Emas coffee house, Gottlieb Road, just opposite of Penang Chinese Girls' High School.

The outside view of the coffee house

This Laksa stall also offers Popiah and Chai Kuih, which are famous too.

Beverly, here is your Laksa, as requested! It looks so delicious! And indeed, it is very delicious and yummy!

Chai Kuih and popiah

Yummy!!! Again, double thumbs up!!!

Mix the popiah with the soup, simply tasty!

My all-time favorite drink, Pat Poh Milk. Well, you only can get this drink in Penang, which make it is so special in Penang.

Bundle of Joy 满月礼盒

It's Full Moon Celebration time!!!

Today I'm going to introduce to you all something special, especially to those future father and mother, =p. It is called Bundle of Joy.

What is Bundle of Joy?
"It is a baby's birth announcement gift bundle for proud parents to announce and celebrate the new arrival of their baby. It's something to share and remember."

I received this Bundle of Joy from my colleague last year July.

When I received it, the first question in my mind is, "What is this? A gift from the parents?".

I opened the box immediately. Tadaa, you see, how nice!

Inside the box, contained cookies, sweets, chocolates, a handkerchief and a photo of the new born baby.

For me it is a very special gift, and I admitted that this was the first time I received this gift during Full Moon Celebration of a baby. Normally we will receive Yellow Ginger Rice 黄姜饭, Curry Chicken 咖哩鸡 and Red Eggs 红鸡蛋.

My opinion is, this is designed for those parents who want to give the gifts to Malay friends. The friends, relatives and families can get to keep timeless and meaningful for a quite long time.

This product is made from high quality material and tastefully designed for keepsake. For those future father and mother, you will get to announce the arrival of your baby in a more special, convenience and stylish way.

It's handicraft time!!!

As usual on every Sundays, I will go to Fo Yi
槟城佛教义学校友会 Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils' Association, Fo Yi Sunday Class and teach children!!! But yesterday is a "rest" day for me, because we will have a handicraft session for the kids there.

Who are going to lead this session? It is none other than our handicraft teacher there, 和丰哥哥. He will teach the kids how to do Chicken Little's head as a present for their mothers, in conjunction to celebrate Mother's Day.

Before the class started, the kids have to sing National Anthem and San Poh Song 三宝歌.

Come one, make a circle, we are going to start the session now.

The materials needed for the session

We gave the materials to the kids around, come on, it is going to be fun!

Slow cut it ya, be careful of the scissor.

The kids were busy during in the handicraft session

Trying to act cute? Yeah, he is kinda cute actually =p.

和丰哥哥 went around to see everything is all right.

You see, the creative Chicken Little's head is finished!

Hey Hui Yin, are you trying to promote the handicraft? hehe...

Yeah, she finished it too!

Write something messages for your beloved mother ya.

Happy Mother's Day to you, mum!

Finally, the message attached with the creative handicraft.

The baby is cute! Hey, is that your baby? Of course not!

Some kids also prepared a lovely card for their mothers also.

Mum, will you be happy to see this?

Hey you! Don't try to take my handsome photo! =p

The children have to do the Fo Yi's song 佛义之歌 hand language before they called it a day.

The session finished around 12pm and we got lots of stuffs to show too.
